HIV Confirmatory
The HIV Confirmatory module in OHASIS is designed to manage and process HIV confirmatory test results for all Certified rHIVda Confirming Laboratories (CrCLs), enabling users to handle confirmatory data. Access to this module is restricted to facilities offering rHIVda services and is limited to users directly involved in the rHIVda process, such as Medical Technologists, Pathologists, and Laboratory Aides.
#Roles and Permission
To use the HIV Confirmatory module, a user must be assigned a role that includes the rHIVda module privilege.
#Pre-Determined Roles for rHIVda Users:
- Laboratory Admin – Manages user access, oversees confirmatory test data, and ensures proper system usage.
- Laboratory User – Handles data entry, uploads test results, and manages confirmatory reports.
#Setting up your rHIVda module
#Step 1: Go to Health Units
Once sign in to your OHASIS account go to Health units Module and select rHIVda

#Step 2: Uploading your Facility Header and Footer

The uploaded header and footer will be displayed in the official printed confirmatory result of the clients.

Allowed formats: JPG, GIF, PNG (Max file size: 5MB)

Steps to upload:
- Click on the "Header (Upload)" button in the "Headers and Footer" section.
- Select an image file and upload.
- Repeat the same steps for the "Footer (Upload)".

#Step 3: Assigning Signatories

Before assigning signatories, ensure that the staff members to be designated as signatories are already added to the facility staff list. Please refer to the "Staff & Users" sub-module for guidance on adding staff to your health facility.

Signatory Roles:
- Analyzed by: The staff responsible for performing HIV confirmatory testing and interpreting the results. This role requires an HIV proficiency certification and is typically assigned to a licensed Medical Technologist.
- Reviewed by: The staff member who reviews the test results, usually the Chief Medical Technologist or another qualified Medical Technologist in the laboratory.
- Noted by: The staff member responsible for the final validation of the test, typically the Facility Pathologist

Steps to assign signatories Roles:
- Click the "Add Signatory" button next to the respective field.
- Select a staff member from the dropdown list.
- Confirm the selection.
- Check the fields if correct by printing the sample confirmatory result. "Print Sample (v1), the original version of the confirmatory. "Print Sample (v2)",
- Click "Save" to finalize entries.

#Set-up Requirements
Don't worry, you won't be required to install any software on your device. You only have to make sure that the following requirements are satisfied by you and your facility.
- Internet - a stable connection of at least 30 Mbps
- Device - primary tool to access the platform
- Desktop
- Laptop
- Tablet
- Phone
- Data Manager - primary person who will manage your facility data
#Requesting a User Account
Before embarking on your OHASIS journey, make sure that you already have a user account. This can be requested from your [Facility Admin], [RESU], or [EB Coordinator]. In addition, make sure to provide a valid email as this is required to confirm your identity every time you log in.

After contacting any of the support links above, you should receive your initial account details shortly.
#Step 1: Go to the Login Page
The Login Page serves as the primary security measure to limit who can access OHASIS records. You'll know you're in the right page when you see something like this:

#Step 2: Input your login credentials
Login attempts
Make sure to input the correct username and password. After three failed attempts, you will be locked out of your account for 5 minutes before you can try again!
Enter the username and password you used/were provided into the appropriate fields. Remember, this is case-sensitive!
Pressing Sign in will:
- Validate your provided credentials
- Send out an OTP to your registered email

#Step 3: Validate your login attempt
If the details you provided are correct, you'll receive the OTP that is sent out to make sure it's actually you. Once the validation is complete, you will be free to access OHASIS' various features!
